Cortisone cream: I would advise using a topical cortisone cream and keeping the scalp clean with a gentle shampoo. watch for signs of infection. Please follow up with your physician.

But bites: A cluster of bug bites in one area overnight is suspicious of bed bugs. They often are elusive and I recommend you Google how and where to best look for them.
