Yes it is used : It is used by some for menorrhagia more so in europe than in us.It enhances blood clotting and seems to be effective for it.But first you have to know if it is true menorrhagia as half of the women who complain of heavy bleeding do not loose lot of blood side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Dizziness and low blood pressure deep vein thrombosis pulmonary embolism cerebral thrombosis.
