Not advisable....: The antifibrinolytic, tranexamic acid is a potent inhibitor of the plasminogen/plasmin axis and impairs breakdown of clots. It has shown efficacy in treating menorrhagia, and can mitigate blood loss in other circumstances. However the same thing making it effective is also a risk. That is, there is increased risk of thrombosis. You should talk to your dr. If your dose is not effective for you.
