I don't: It does'nt work like that. Constipation in the U.S. Is at an all time high, judging by the questions. Caffeine is a dug that acts on the automatic nervous system that, in turn, can have some odd effects on bowel function. Sometimes diarrhea alternates with constipation. It is a puzzle that can only be solved by understanding the chemistry and consequent physiology rhat is so easily wrecked by diet.

No: Caffeine is a mild laxative and does not work for everybody. People who present to physicians are generally beyond this stage.
