Unsure: Progesterone supplementation has been shown to help in invitro fertilization cycles atrificially stimulated by hormones. It is also helpful to decrease the risk of a premature birth in someone who ha a prior premature birth if taken in the second and third trimesters. I do not think it helps in normal pregnancies in the first trimester.
