Im 6w2d pregnant & taking oral progesterone due to miscarriage & low prog at pregnant confirmation with ob. my symptoms r disappearing. is it possible for progesterone to mask the symptoms of a miscarriage?

No: Progesterone will not mask a miscarriage. Progesterone therapy will seldom prevent a miscarriage. Miscarriages are very common - occurring in 1/5 of pregnancies at least. Most miscarriages are due to large chromosomal/ genetic abnormalities which occur at conception. We have no control over these and they seem to be a matter of chance. If you miscarry once again there are further tests to do.

No: A miscarriage will produce contractions/cramps and heavy vaginal bleeding. If you develop vaginal bleeding call your doctor immediately or be seen in the closest er.
