Not at all: Root canal treatment is limited to the internal portions of a tooth. Does not have anything to do with the opposing contacts with other teeth. Open contacts or missing opposing teeth can then cause some "shifting" after a long period of time. The tooth in question must be restored temporarily with proper contacts pending the root canal treatment is completed and final restoration is done

No: A root canal does not cause the teeth to separate. Nor does it cause the gums around the teeth to recede. Root canal work is entirely inside the tooth (endodontic) and does not affect appearance whatsoever.

Not at all!: Most patients, especially those that have never had root canal therapy do not understand the procedure. The dentist removes all tissue from the canal(s) of the tooth that run the length of the tooth. The canals are then filled with a rct filling. The canals are actually quite small. After the rct, the restorative dentist will repair the tooth with fillings\crown.
