Breakdown:teeth/gums: You can have breakdown of the teeth (decay), gums (gingivitis) and bone (periodontitis). You may have discoloration of the teeth, very bad breath, and pain. The gums will bleed. The infection from this can spread to other parts of your body such as your heart. Statistics show that you will not live as long as if you had excellent oral hygiene.

Common sense: Cleaning your teeth and mouth is just common sense. If you don't, what happens depends on your resistance to dental breakdown, which varies from one person to the next. Long-term dental neglect can cause severe problems in susceptible individuals. I strongly suggest seeking dental care for an evaluation and a good cleaning to help you catch up and follow through with good oral hygiene.

Plaque: That classic experiment has been done several times with dental students. Lack of brushing and flossing leads to plaque accumulating on your teeth. This leads to gingivitis, periodontitis if you are susceptible , and maybe cavities. Meanwhile you can have bad breath and bad tastes.
