Oral sedation: Oral and/or intravenous sedation are very helpful in having extractions or other dental surgery. Also, nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia is very relaxing without being unconscious. Good local anesthesia is also very important. A dentist can advise you of options.

Consultation: Schedule a consultation visit w your dentist. Express your concerns and fears. Frequently this can in itself be enough to well them. Confidence in your dentist and building a relationship always helps. The dr. Will then know you better and how to handle your particular situation.
