Many things: Depends if one or both. Could be arthritis, trauma or many different things. If persists whould be evaluated to determine the etiology.

Radiating Pain: Radiating pain usually means there is some direct nerve involvement. Most trauma, or musculo skeletal pain remains localized staying in the same area. The type of pain is important, electrical, burning, dull, sharp, throbbing. Different type of pain, how the pain come and goes or if something make it better or worse. These answers will steer you in the right direction.
