Tests: An evaluation for swallowing problems would include al visit with a physical examination. Depending on the exam the doctor will choose to send you for further testing. The most common test for evaluation is the videofluorographic swallowing study during which an x-ray movie is recorded while swallowing to determine what are the reasons of the problem.
