Don't give up: Traditionally, the c-pap unit is perhaps the best approach and newer masks and quieter machines are now available. Many skilled dentists who have experience with the jaw have designed nocturnal dental splints which keep the lower jaw in position to prevent the apnea episodes. See a sleep specialist and a dental expert and find an approach that is tolerable.

Apnea Treatment: Depending on the diagnosis of your apnea there are several options for treatment. Mild-mod obstructive apnea can be treated with an oral appliance, severe will need to be treated with cpap. 10% decrease in body weight can lower your ahi by 50%, best option is to have a proper diagnosis and referral to treating professional which includes a dentist trained in treating sleep apnea.
