Often similar: There are many similarities between these two diseases and an absolute distinction can be difficult. About 20% of lupus patients also have a secondary sjogrens.

Questionable: No one knows what lupus really is, so it's defined in terms of a checklist. A certain total number of findings allows the diagnosis to be made. The real question is, "do we treat, and if so, how?" good luck -- sjogren's alone is quite a challenge, and often runs with lupus or lupus-like illness and gives its own positive ana.
