Anger/irritability/ : & moodiness are not symptoms of adhd; if they cause your child harmful dysfunction, he needs re- evaluation & review of current medications & therapy by his mental health providers. The high mn levels in kids with all types of adhd do increase hyperactivity & learning disabilities, but can be reduced by consistent daily use of mph.( stimulant). Unlikely: I'm not sure what extremely high levels of manganese would do to a person, but i doubt it would cause only increased anger. If you know why it's elevated, stop the cause and see what happens. If you don't know, find a physician to help figure it out. Anger is not uncommon with adhd. If it is new, looking for what has changed is worthwhile; if chronic, work with a professional on that issue.

Doubt manganese: Manganese toxicity as seen among miners and steelworkers is familiar and infamous. It does produce irritability, but there's also generalized slowing of the mind and a movement disorder that gets mistaken for parkinson's even though it's not that similar. I urge you to stop reading "pop" blogs about minerals and get with a competent common-sense physician ; figure out what's really bugging junior.
