Heart disease: Getting 4 extremity blood pressures is a quick, no-risk way to rule out several types of congenital heart disease. Talk with your pediatrician about their concerns and what the results are for you baby.

Easy maneuver & info: A murmur generally means there is a turbulence of blood flow generating a noise. A narrowing of any branch of the hearts main artery can show as a drop in BP distant to the narrowing. Low BP in legs compared to arms means a blockage somewhere between. Quad bp's are easy to obtain & help you narrow down your list of possibilities before you do more invasive tests.
