Lysol: Lysol kills athletes foot fungus. For carpet, almost any carpet cleaner with a "pet sanitizer" in it will kill fungus.

Athlete's foot: Any type of detergent is strong enough to kill fungus.

I don't know: If that is someone's home remedy for athlete's foot, i've never heard of it. Some home remedies are useful, some are not. How about this one: buy an antifungal cream and take better care of you feet. Change out you shoes regularly so that the insoles are dry and fungus is less likely to grow in them. That sounds like a better idea than walking around with your feet smelling like vicks.

Athletes foot cream: Fungus lives all over the place and the feet can easily get reinfected. Shoes can get contaminated and often can help reinfect feet. The over the counter creams like lotrimin, tinactin (tolnaftate) should work etc also, if you are treating and it is not going away consider that it may not actually be a fungus. See a doctor if traditional medications are not effective.

Open bottle: Sprinkle on foot. Feel free to rub it into the skin. Doing it over the bath tub will help prevent making a mess.

Agreed. Also how recently was the fracture sustained and what has been done to treat it so far? Specifically what type of athlete? It would be helpful to have this information to give the best answer possible.
