A member asked:

What can be done for 2yr old that has a stomach virus? he's keeping fluids down now but he is still running a fever

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Keeping fluids in...: Keeping fluids in a toddler is very important, especially if he has had a spell of losing fluids through vomiting or diarrhea. So if you're succeeding at that, you're probably doing ok. I always assess toddlers by looking at how they are acting - in most cases, i think this is more critical than their temp. If a child is sluggish or lethargic - or agitated while ill, he needs to be seen. Lg.
