Possibly: Soreness behind the eyes can be associated with a head cold or sinus infection, if there are other symptoms that are also consistent with a head cold or sinus infection. Best to see your family doctor, internist, or ear, nose and throat physician to determine the cause.

Possibly: Pain behind the eyes (retrobulbar) can be from sinusitis. However, if you do not experience other symptoms of sinusitis (runny nose, post-nasal drainage, recent upper respiratory infection), the pain may from an entirely different cause. It is best to consult an ear, nose, and throat specialist regarding this.
