Ambien (zolpidem) is starting to not work for me, does anyone have any suggestions for a good sleep medicine?

Insomnia: Ambien (zolpidem) is a sleeping pill which is not very healthy for you as it does not do anything to heal your sleeping problem and it can have some nasty side effects. Call your doctor about getting a sleep study done to determine the cause of your insomnia and then proper treatment will safely help you.

Since ambien (zolpidem) is now: Having a diminished effect, this suggests that you use sleep medications chronically. One can develop tolerance to Ambien (zolpidem) over time. If this is a chronic problem, have you been evaluated by a sleep specialist to get to the root of your sleep problems? How is your sleep hygiene? That is a major issue to address for insomnia. Melatonin can be excellent for sleep.
