Whiten teeth: You can try over the counter whitening strips. They seem to work for a lot of my patients, at less cost than professional whitening procedures.

Use a sonicare: To remove extrinsic stain, a sonicare is very good. Look for the newer diamond sonicae electric toothbrush. If crest white strips don't work, go to you dentist to have trays made. It will turn out costing less to get the results you may be looking for.

Baking soda: There are many methods to "whiten" teeth, of which creating a paste with baking soda and water may be the least expensive. It's efficacy may not be what you need depending on the amount of staining and discoloration you have. Some causes of "stained" teeth are systemically related and whitening may not be the answer.
