Yes there are: In a nutshell, teeth whitening is dose and frequency dependent. Higher concentrations and frequencies will produce faster results. However, the results will be the same no matter what whitening product you use, as long as it is carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide in a gel form for a long enough time. The over-the-counter products will work if they contain one of these ingredients.

Sure: Otc toothpastes and whitening strips can make a small difference in the color of your teeth. Don't expect these products to give you the results of a professionally applied whitening gel.

Value!: Most people really want value, and not merely the cheapest product. Since otc whiteners generally do not work as well or as fast as professional whitening, you may not get the results that you want, and therefore that "bargain" may just be lost money! consult with a dentist as to your options. On occasion, I have even recommended crest whitestrips for some patients. See your dentist first!
