More info needed: How long has this been going on? Do you exercise? Have any history of asthma? Try taking a hot shower and see if this helps your "tight" back muscles. The warm moist air will be easier to breathe. You really should see a physician and describe these symptoms to the doctor who can examine you. Good luck

Mgt, asthma: With your history of asthma, this certainly could indicate a lack of asthma control. A higher dose of Advair or an additional controller medication may be needed. I would advise a pulmonary function test and evaluation by your doctor. More information is needed though, and I would suggest taking the asthma control test online and printing a copy for your physician.
