A member asked:

Is it safe to rub cocoa butter on my belly? i'm pregnant. i read it has caffeine in it? does it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's safe: And there is no evidence that caffeine, in moderate amounts, is harmful in pregnancy. It's been tested up to about 600 mg which is like about 5 large starbucks coffees. The cocoa butter, however, has not been demonstrated to help stretch marks though. Good luck and remember, few topical applications, and none i can think of, gets absorbed in sufficient amounts to disrupt a pregnancy. Gd luc.
