Bone mets?: Are you referring here that unfortunately that the breast cancer has come back and now you have it spread to the bone? First of all your doctor needs to make sure that the bone lession is really originally from breast cancer. If it is confirmed- it is a stage IV disease. Also need to make sure that there is nothing else in the body. If the cancer is er+, anti estogen pill would be an option.

If your cancer: Now is in your bones after 8 years, the treatment with anti-hormones can be quite successful in relieving symptoms, but does not cure the disease. Some biopsy the bone to prove that it is the same cancer, and re-test er/pr and her-2-neu status. Relapse after 8 years is no common, but not rare. Best wishes and good luck.
