Hormone IUD but . .: The worry about breast cancer is unfounded and in fact prolonged use of the pill is protective against ovarian cancer and possibly uterine cancer. The IUD is still a good choice but because of your history of long, painful periods, one of the hormone IUD's makes the most sense.
