What steps do i need to take if i want to become a psychologist/clinical psychologist. im enrolled in college seeking an a.a.s degree. what's next?

To become a : Psychologist you need to have at least a master's degree if not a doctorate. The state of new york now licenses people with a master's degree but most states require a doctorate. Therefore, you need to complete a bachelor's degree and then go on to earning a minimum of a master's degree. Check with your state's department of education to know what the requirements are where you live.

Doctoral level ed: Most states require graduation with a phd or psyd from a doctoral training program in clinical psychology, a year internship, passing of national and state licensure exam and a one year residency before you are licensed.
