A member asked:

I'm currently a college student and i'm majoring in the medical field, what classes will i have to take in order to become a medical assistant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

High school/courses: You do not need college education to become medical assistant. The job of medical assistant is to assist the doctor/doctors in day to day functioning of medical office, like preparing patirnts for examination, checking bp, height/weight, ekg and other office tests and other duties assigned. It requires a certificate course. You might be confused with phisician assistant, (pa)which requires college degree.
