Keep it bandaged.: Assuming it is not infected, use of a daily topical such as triple antibiotic ointment and a dry dressing over this is indicated. Try to limit weight bearing to decrease pressure on the wound. Cleanse daily with soap and water and do not leave open for an extended period.
