Dermaplaning: Microdermabrasion is an adequate type of exfoliation. There are subtle differences between machines. Dermaplaning is much more effective and longer lasting. This is done with a special blade but is not uncomfortable.

Alternate suggestion: Microdermabrasion is very mild exfoliating agent we have used a diamond tipped planer, chemical peels and superficial dermal planning with a blade for several years with good success.

Consider other tx's: For resurfacing skin there are other modalities that can be used such as lasers or peels. Ask your dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
