Look carefully: Place the lens on the tiop of your finger. When looking at it closely, if the rim of the lens "lips out" like a vase, it is inside out. If it has no lip (like a drinking glass), it is right side out.

Gentle folding: Gently pinch the edge of the contact lens so that it incompletely folds, then do the same thing with the contact flipped the other way. If the contact is right side up it tends to fold more, if it is upside down it bows out more and doesn't fold as much. Also if you put your contact in the wrong way it usually feels scratch, take it out and put it in the correct way.
