Long-acting forms of: stimulants, methylphenidate (MPH) & amphetamine (AMPH) can cause delayed-onset sleep. Vyvanse, (lisdexamfetamine) a form of dexamphetamine, has onset of action in adults of 1 ½- 2 hours & duration of 12-14 hours. Individual responses depend on rapid or slow metabolism of the drug. Earlier dosing, a lower dose + an adjunct non-stimulant, a different form of AMPH or MPH are options to discuss with your psychiatrist.
