Depends on age: After 2 years old, kids should be seen yearly until they move on to an adult doctor. From birth to one, the typical visits outside the newborn period are at 2, 4, 6, 9 and 12 months. Then kids are typical seen at 15, 18 and 24 months.

Once a year if >2 yr: Baby (and toddler) routine office visits are at 2 weeks; and then at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 months. Some doctors also do a 3 month visit. At ages 2-18 years, children have an annual check-up. Sick visits to doctors are very variable, as some kids get sick often while others stay well.
