Yes, no: No birth control is 100% effective, including the pill. Some medications interfere with oral hormone contraceptives and you may miss a dose, among other reasons. Once you are pregnant, the body prevents you from getting pregnant again by holding off on further ovaluation. However, if two egg cells are released instead of one, you can get pregnant twice with (non-identical) fraternal twins.
