Just had a pulmonary function test and the dr said i have asthma and need to take albuterol 4 times a day. i'm 27/m with bad abxiety. what should i do?

Breathing = good: For right now, use the inhaler so you can breathe. Talk to your dr asap & discuss your anxiety symptoms (and how much the albuterol might be worsening them) to see about preventive medications (inhaled steroid / antihistamines / il-modulators / etc.), and to see about meds for the anxiety while getting tx w/a qualified therapist (likely cognitive-benavioral tx).

See specialist: Albuterol is an excellent medication to take for quick relief of asthma symptoms. If a person has persistent asthma, then a daily controller medication is prescribed to prevent asthma symptoms. If a person needs to take albuterol more than twice a week during the daytime for relief of symptoms, then the asthma is not controlled and an adjustment to the medication regimen is needed.
