Various: Meditation, deep breathing exercises for relaxation, distraction with music by headphones, masking the sound with white noise (eg the sound of a fan, of an fm radio set to a frequency where there is no radio signal, or a white noise app for a smart phone), complaining to the landlord, and moving are all methods I have used in my own life. Unfortunately, only the last one was 100% effective.
