A member asked:

Should i be concerned about contracting a sickness if i were to become a physical therapist in a hospital?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: If in the medical profession, you should understand the exposures have and the risks you take. Concerned? Well, yes! but not to excess. Tb, hepatitis, hiv, staph, meningitis and others are always present. Use universal precautions and the skills taught you and you should be relatively safe. It is the risk of the "profession" and you should clearly understand that and your dedication to it!
