Need more info: It is not clear what the result of your test for ebv infectious mononucleosis was, what procedure was used and whether you were tested for some of the other causes of a mononucleosis-like syndrome, one of which is HIV disease. The high probability is that you have infectious mononucleosis. Go back and discuss with the doctor seeing you. And be very careful. A swollen tender spleen can rupture.
