Possibly: Thyroid problems (over- or under active thyroid) can cause irregular periods. You should get a blood test to see if your thyroid is in balance. Also could be abnormal pregnancy--which can be serious. If you don't want to be pregnant, see your doctor to check it out--and discuss birth control/contraception.
