Enlarged Ventricle: An enlarged ventricle is usually a symptom of another undrlying problem. There are idiopathic or unknown causes but generally hypertension is the main culprit. Pulmonary hypertension causes enlargement of the right, and systemic hypertension causes enlargement of the left. Danger depends on the degree and type of enlargement. You should seek further evaluation by a cardiologist!
