Razor Bumps: Shave with an electric razor, which does not cut as closely to the skin as a traditional razor. If using a traditional razor, make sure that it is not rusty or dull. Use a shaving gel (rather than cream) and always shave in the direction the hair grows. Avoid pulling the skin taut while shaving---while this results in a close shave, it also can result in razor bumps. Otc bump patrol is helpful.
