Maybe: If you have influenza and are around anyone not protected by the vaccination they are at high risk of catching the. Influenza . You should stay home until your doctor advises you that you are no longer contagious , if your family had the vaccination they should be fine. If not, they can take tamiflu (oseltamivir) if they know for sure they have been exposed to help fight it off or lessen the course.

Yes: Antibiotics do not provide any protection , nor do they treat influenza. If your family was vaccinated, they are less likely to catch your influenza, but the vaccine is not 100% effective. Good handwashing and decontamination of shared objects (doorknobs, refrigerator, faucets etc), cough and sneeze into your sleeve. Tamiflu (oseltamivir) is an antiviral that can be used to prevent flu when exposed.
