Unlikely: Prostate biopsy secondary to elevated psa is usually what leads to the diagnosis. Prostate nodule on digital rectal exam (dre) is another method. Unless locally advanced prostate cancer generally is without symptoms. Bone pain related to prostate cancer can occur due to advanced metastatic disease; however, that is not the usual initial presentation.

Prostate: Prostate cancer has essentially no symptoms until it is very advanced. It does not occur in your age group. One condition that does occur frequently in your age group is prostatitis. It causes a variety of sensations and often does cause discomfort in the very low back. See your physician if you are concerned.
