can't tell if i sprained, broken or fractured my finger?

Only an x-ray: Can tell, if its a small fracture and there is no obvious dislocation.You can have significant pain, swelling and limited range of motion with a sprain that can last 4-6 weeks. In other words, it can be a tough call.
