Follow up needed: Is the dentist aware of this? You need to discuss this matter with your dentist. If the cut was inside her mouth, she is otherwise healthy and she is on antibiotics, I do not forsee any problem with normal healing. She does need to be evaluated and treated by a her dentist or referred to an oral surgeon if necessary.

Hydrogen peroxide : The lip is very vascular and subject to infection. Rinse with hydrogen peroxide and water half and half. Also a child dose of liquid penicillin is recommended.

Sad: We are all concerned that your child's dental experience was anything other that pleasant and fruitful. Please call dentist back and have lip evaluated. May need rx or antibiotic. Your dentist may also reefer you to oral surgeon or pedodontist. Hope she's feeling 100% soon.
