I will tell you: There is a superficial nerve come from inside the knee to outside the knee , sometime this nerve accidently cut during arthroscopy, when is cut (partial, or total cut) it form what we call neuroma at the site if you pump that area you will have what are describing. Rear but possible. Check it out.
