Swollen glands, pain in joints, knees, elbows, feet, fingers. neck. blood taken last wk. fbc was fine, gland fever test 1 part ok 1 part needs further investigation poss autoimmune, what could it be?

Rule out RA: Generalized joint swelling would make a diagnostician look to ruling out rheumatoid arthritis first (which is an auto-immune problem). Primary care doc first, then perhaps a rheumatologist. Sometimes a recent viral infection can throw your immune system off and cause these types of symptoms. Good luck!

On the right track: It sounds as if the doctor you are seeing is proceeding in an orderly and thoughtful manner. Stick with them and the source for this will likely be determined and followed by successful therapy. Wish you well.
