Depends where: It depends what part of the body is infected. If in the lungs cough, sputum, chest pain and shortness of breath would be the symptoms. The classic signs of inflammation and infection are redness, swelling and pain. Fever, malaise, arthralgias and myalgias are also frequent symptoms when infected.
