5 weeks after 2nd grade ankle sprain. still some pain walking. will ultrasound and ten on ankle help?

Possibly: Can't hurt to try therapies like these. Bad sprains just take time. If you damaged the joint as a result of the sprain, you might require more interventional procedures in the future.

Ankle sprain: Yes . Ultrasound and tens unit will help with your pain. They are both forms of physical therapy used to treat chronic pain. Ultra sound is a heat modality and is able to penetrate soft tissue deep enough to administer heat where it is needed . Tens unit delivers electrical stimulation which helps with muscular and ligamentous tone . Physical therapy is the best way to recuperate from a sprain
