Sleep apnea: If you are not getting a good nights sleep ( i.e. Not getting to rem stage) then your entire system remains stressed. Have you been evaluated for sleep apnea? Lack of oxygen , gasping for air, interrupts the necessary sleep stages with resultant hyper arousal.
