A member asked:

If you vomited a lot of blood two months ago, but nothing since then, fair to assume problem solved?

Not necessarily: Vomiting blood is something that always needs to be worked up. This has a very long list of possible causes and none of them are very good. By all means, get this checked out as soon as possible!

No assumptions: If the circumstances were clearly suggesting the cause, such as for example using high doses ibuprofen for pain or getting intoxicated and vomiting a lot and you plan to avoid such circumstances going forward there is a chance that this might have been an isolated event. If you have no control over specific circumstances or cannot recognize them as such there is a good chance it will come back.
